just make some brackets, the 280 uses big heavy bompershocks, the early 240 (70-71) used whis is basically "L" brackets, in 72 they added adn very light shock of sorts, just get some flat stock and bend it to fit and drill holes accordingly, it's pretty simple

it's a bit big for a lot of pwoples tastes, it's a popular mod, MSA sells fibergalss replica's of the early style bumper, won't do any good in an impact but then neither would the acutal metal early style bumper, the fron and rear 77-78 bumpers with brackets weight somethign like 75 lbs each!, the 70-71 style bumpers and brackets weight maybe 20, and thats being generous, you can save over 100 lbs doing the bumper swap, just don't wreck

MSA also sells carbon fiber bumpers besides the fiberglass ones. But like DKY said, don't get in a wreck with them..

So i gave my friend my 76 280z front bumper and it doesn't fit on his 78 280z. The bumper fitted on the passenger side but on the driver side it didn't. I didn't get a chance to look at it yet(he lives in long beach), but before I do i'm wondering if its a direct bolt on or do i need 76 style shocks? or do i need to play with the 78 shocks?
