So I was out at dinner last night, and I think I can count on my fingers the total number of times I havent valeted the car, but for some reason I just happened to see a street side spot and decided to park myself.

After a generally favorable dinner I come out to see some prick had put a soccer ball like dent in my rear bump, as if the incredible hulk had a temper tantrum.

Anyways, it seems to pop it out refinish and repaint will cost $300+, but i noticed that the part is only $274 on infinitipartsusa

Am I understanding this right? If so, how difficult is it to unbolt the old bumper and bolt on the new one? And if it is difficult how much do infiniti dealerships usually charge?

Thanks in advance!!!

it is not overly difficult. You can definately do it if you have any sense of DIY in your blood.

You say "Dent", but the bumper is plastic. You say it can be popped out so why do you not just pop it out and repaint the existing bumper? Why would you replace it if it is not cracked?

Also, if they are charging 350 installed and painted that would be worth it rather than spending 274 plus shipping, plus painting, plus your time....

I guess I need more clarification. However, you can use the FSM to see how to install the new bumper and take your call from there.

Parts come un-painted from the factory. No worries friend, just park the car yourself for the next couple months and you'll have that money right backCheers

DRIPS,

Just to clarify...

I was told it can be popped out by a body shop guy, doesnt really mean "I" can do it.

And I thought replacing would save me the hassle of painting.
