trying to fix a door rattle (on my '93 vert) - and found this missing rubber thing....

[K2926] BUMPER-DOOR STOPK2926-S13002

problem is that nissan doesn't carry it any more, anyone have any luck finding something that could work as a replacement? i think i saw some rubber things that could work at home depot or lowes, but it was just an adhesive deal. this part i believe has a little hook or something that goes into the rubber

It wasn't me but I remember the post too - I think. I remember it being a door closing snuggly problem and the user replaced the nylon ring near the door jam to sure it up. At least that's what I think I remember.

There's Loki's post about a frozen mechanism but it has some good info and pics: zerothread?id=230613

And this thread about replacing door pins for a sagging door:zerothread?id=221966

Good luck!

^^That's not it. He is talking about black rubber piece that looks like this, but solid piece, not hollow inside.

yep - exactly its those things... i was just thinking about buying something like that, and save off some of the top to make it fit. if i understand the purpose of these pieces it is to apply pressure outward on the door, so it creates a nice hold on the door on the body/frame
