Well I FINALLY got a day off to finish torquing and put it all back together.
Fired right up but I have the middle cylinder on the drivers side bank not firing. :(
Eliminated the coil pack and plug, and the injector ohms out ok.
Need to check compression.
Is there a fairly easy way to verify the plug is getting fire ?
Its either that or the injector is clogged. But I didn't get a CEL at all.
FYI with all new pullys and tension roller it sure is a lot quieter !

Use a noid light to test for power to the injector? No codes, even though the CEL isn't ON?

Use a spare and properly grounded coil pack equipped with a spare plug to test for spark?

Think of simple things (electrical connectors/fouled plug/harness wiring) and good luck!

I moved the coil pack and plug to the forward most cylinder on that side and the problem stayed on the middle cylinder.
I cleaned the Injector connector but that didn't help.
I will get a noid light and see if its a electrical issue.
Its just weird that i didn't have a miss when I parked it.
And nothing I did had anything to do with electrical.

Does the FSM trouble-shooting section have anything to say? Check/clean the connector to the CAS? Disconnect and reconnect the connector to the ECM? And isn't there an ignition module too?

Just one faulty wire/connection would do it. Sounds like an electrical related no spark or fuel issue.

I will clean and reseat the cas connector tonight.
But I would think that would affect all cylinders ?

PTU?

I'd follow problem cylinder injector and coilpack harness wires to their connection points.

Must be Livin' right !!
Got a compression test, All good.
Hooked up a Noid tester , All good.
Scratched head. Hooked everything back up and BAM !!
Purrs like a kitten !
One would think it was a loose connection but I cleaned a unhooked/hooked everything several times.
I'm thinking that injector was clogged from sitting.
I put a bottle of redline in with a tad over a quarter tank of fuel yesterday, and I suppose it did its magic !!

On the Road again !!

After totaling the first j30 racecar we transferred that perfect running engine in car 2, it ran smooth for the first 15 seconds then developed a miss that was tracked to a open injector. I broke a injector in a crash? :gotme
Weird stuff happens.
