Customer service sucks. First time I called it took an hr to get thru and another hr to dump my file to get it tuned on their system. Out of all that they do help in the end lol

Well just the customer service blows its just time consuming that's all. The end result is great. Id suggest to call them to give you the correct file for your ecu.

Not all ECUs are supported, there's like 40+ ECU revisions/models for the Altimas.

They need you to send in your dump, they take a week or two to crack and tune it and then send it back as a software update so your car is supported. If your car is already supported it will just work out of the box after being updated.

This is typical of any PNP unit.

Well i ran the updater, but what id really like to do is plug this thing in and start tinkering with it before carlisle...

I know dan had it hooked to an altima, but im still gonna need to do all this troubleshooting etc? what a hassle

in that 30+ page thing there was something i remember reading to read ur vin and then the certain numbers off the vin corresponded to the map to dl... but... there were only 2 for the manual - so i couldnt really be wrong lol-, and im not quite sure about the cvt. u can still load the bd into the car, make a copy of ur ecu, then have it automap, and u can edit certain characteristics after it. if you dont like it, revert back

I know it's a hassle to most of you, but it's not BullyDog's fault. They cannot possibly know EVERY ECU out there. Some ECU revisions are still being shipped that they do not know about. Nissan usually updates their ECU part numbers every 3-6 months.

Once you dump your ECU you can send them the dump file and they will add it to an update. It's the same with any new tuning software such as UpRev as well. UpRev goes through the same process.

It's to be expected.

Only people that can be blamed are Nissan, and really, they're doing nothing wrong.

When I spoke to BullyDog they were more than welcoming to help and gave me realistic expectations. Their customer service is top notch. If there is a wait time, that's nothing they can really control. They get hundreads of calls from people with the same issue, you're ECU dump will get put in a queue.

I'm watching this as I'm looking at going this route as well. Finally laid out most of what I'm doing with my car for the year. This will be on the list more than likely as I'm making a lot of changes to intake/exhaust.

It only took BD a day or 2 to make the file for my BD PowerPup and i have no complaints.
