Has anyone installed a power pup on a Rogue yet?

The Nissan Power Pup was designed for Nissan Titan owners looking for more power and better fuel economy. The Nissan Power Pup offers the user two different engine tunes above Stock to accommodate various driving conditions: Regular Tune (use with regular fuel) and Premium Tune (use with high-octane fuel). It also gives the user the capabilities to adjust rev and speed limiters, as well as read and erase diagnostic trouble codes.

What I'm after is the fuel savings. I'm not so interested in the premium tune to get max hp... I'm also not interested in rev limiters or speed limiters as I never even come close to those limits. Actually, I don't need the diagnostic code reading either.. I'm just looking for the fuel economy.
I'm curious to know if anyone has used one of these?

I've heard great reviews from the Altima Coupe guys... They have CVT also, so I know that's not an issue.

I do not believe anyone here on the Rogue forum has tried out either of the Bully Dog programmers yet. Like you said, the Altima 2.5 CVT guys have been trying it though with pretty good results, so that's what I'd base my best estimates on as to what type of gains you'd get.
I thought about getting their more advanced programmer (the name escapes me at the moment), but never really felt like throwing around $400 on one. I MAY pick one up though at the end of the summer if I have the money to blow. :P

I am very skeptical of fuel economy claims as it's a difficult parameter to measure. Fuel brand/grade, air temperature, driving habits, vehicle load, etc all play into it. Short of using a dyno in a precisely temperature controlled test chamber, it's near impossible to get reliable back-to-back comparisons/test data.

Another thing that troubles me, is many reviews are performed immediately after the device is installed and/or programmed. This ignores the effects of the ECU's long term fuel trims performed using the O2 sensor. Ignition timing can also be retarded by the knock sensor which negatively affects fuel economy and power; and may not be seen in all driving conditions or on the dyno.

Driven gently, the Rogue can easily hit 30mpg. Myself, Pescakl and others have proven this.

I'm skeptical as well!

I've gotten 30 mpg on the highway under favorable conditions in the Rogue. Most often I'm at almost exactly 25 mpg during my normal driving routine (to university and back on 45 mph roural road with multiple stop signs and lights).

I won the power pup in the raffle at Nico's Omaha meet this weekend. Granted, I bought quite a lot of tickets, but still, I made out pretty well on the deal.

So I'm trying to decide if I want to open the thing up and use it on the Rogue, or if I want to leave it sealed in box and sell it on either the forums here (likely to an Altima Coupe owner) or on ebay or something.

I guess it depends if you need the money by selling it.

It would be nice to see what it would do for the Rogue's QR25DE as no one here has tried an aftermarket tuner yet.
