does anyone use or have experience with the Bully Dog Tuner on a M56 application?
I am curious if it helps with increasing Hp, eliminates the speed and rev limiters, and is it worth the $ ?

the Texas Mile is coming up and ive entered. I definitely do not want the speed limiter holding the car back from its true top end speed.

OR should i just go with UPREV?

thanks for the help

You should be fine without it if your only concern is hitting the limiter. Stock it's 157mph and you're not going to hit that in a mile.

I'm still deciding on which to choose. A member on here has bullydog and he seems to have the most powerful and fastest M. I want uprev so I can tune it myself but he mentioned there being an issue with changing the timing with it. I haven't been able to find out if this has been resolved yet uprev has never replied to any emails.

Another problem is nobody really runs these cars stock then with different set ups to compare.

a real dyno tune will always be better and safer than a canned programmer tune. i had the bully dog for my G37 and it did absolutely nothing. i uninstalled, sold it and got an uprev tune and it was worlds different. the tuner will modify it to your cars modifications, and also install on the fly tunes for valet and different octane tunes.

Dred, don't wait on UpRev, their CS is terrible and they expect their dealers to handle all of the CS requests. Talk to an UpRev tuner (I believe here in the Albany area Quantum Race Works - Steve - knows UpRev).

I'll try and hit them up but they're pretty crappy too in regards to customer service and actually getting back to you. I tried to get some things done on the sti but it was a headache trying to get anything done. I wouldn't do business with them but I'll ask them if it is working normally in their experience
