I found a site to get color matched silicone hose by the foot.

http://www.hosetechniques.com

I think this is the only non-OEM stuff I would put under my plenum.

On a side note, my wife and I were looking at silicone bakeware (muffin tins, cookie shets, etc) this weekend, anyone used it before?

Oh my god. Could it be? You have started a new thread about a question that I have already asked. I have been repeatedly asking where I could get silicone for the Q45. But, noone has answered me prior to this.

So, I will say, thank you.

This is a great company and product. I had ordered a red set for my 87 Toyota Supra and the silicone came pre-cut to the exact sizes. It really makes the engine look cleaner and pronounced. They also give you an extra 5 feet of hose to work with. I will be e-mailing them today if they have a pre-cut hoses for the Q45.

No offense dude, but most people are probably ignoring threads that you started once they get over a few pages in length, so I thought this would be a good place to post this.

I think SCC used this on one of their project cars and had it color matched to the car, but that probably costs a little more. I was suprised at how reasonable the prices were, I thought the stuff was going to be a lot more.

If they give you a make/model, will they make a kit... Or would you have to send them old hoses to remake them.?

I was gonna ask around if any body that performed the plenum job had the measurements of the silicone hoses (length and diameter of hoses). Also there are some hose that are not silicone under the plenum from my understanding. ALos, If anybodyha the info on the length and diameter of theheater hoses tha twould be greatly appreciated.

Thanx

The two hoses coming off of the metal-Y are 1.25in and 1.625.

Hey, I finally got the hoses for the metal-y. The walls are almost a 1/2in thick. I took them to the Tampa Infiniti dealer. I asked the head mechanic what he thought about them. He said they appeared to be alot stronger than the OEM hoses. He continued on to state that in his opinion, my hoses would probably last longer than the OEM replacement hoses. I wasn't thinking about it at the time, but I should have gotten him to write that statement down for me, then I would scan and post it.

BTW, I am back working on the Q. I will take more pictures as I go.

You should post this as a post asking for help. Squeeky wheel gets the oil.
