but this wouldn't cause the bulb to burn out it would cause the harness to melt. The bulb burning out would be caused by the to much current on the cars side of the circuit. I had sylvania's in my last 2 cars. Never had a problem Might trying upgrading the harness with bigger wiring if the kit if out.SHIFT_COUPE wrote:The wattage is way too high for what the harness can handle. You should be using a 55w bulb. Your either using cheaply made bulbs or its a combination of the high wattage as well.
I was thinking the same thing... Never touch the glass itself, either use cotton gloves, or grab by the prongs/metal parts... Nokya bulbs are really good as well... but bottom line is personal preferancegeneric808 wrote:Are you touching the bulbs with your bare hands? The oils left on the bulb will cause them to blow prematurely. Wait, that didn't sound good. Just be very careful not to touch the bulb when replacing.
What type of silverstars fit in the fog lights? I don't see an H11 silverstar bulb anywhere....generic808 wrote:Are you touching the bulbs with your bare hands? BTW Sylvania Siverstars are awesome! They don't have that blue tint to them, just bright white light, which I prefer. A bit pricey though, but still cheaper than PIAA.
