I was wondering if anyone could point me to a bulb that would most resemble the stock HID color on a 5.5 gen Max. The bulb I am looking to match is the courtesy bulb that sits just above the turn signal in the headlight housing. Thanks in advance.

I couldn't find anything myself so I went with an amber bulb so that it would stand out as a different color.

PIAA Super Plasma does NOT do it, so stay away from that one.

I just got in a set of super-white LED's to replace those bulbs. I'll let you know how it looks when I replace them.

Sweet, you mind if I ask where u got those from? I'm about to have the car totally restored from the outside and I'm just trying to gather parts before it hits the body shop.

I just threw them in and they are probably closer in color to my 6000k's (blue tint) than the factory 4300k HID's. Much better than the PIAA's I had.

Damn...I want to kind of stay with the 4300K bulbs. I'm more into the lights being brighter than bluer.

That pic is a little deceiving. Matt's 6000K's are not that blue. They look very nice.

Looking dead-on it's white. The only blue you notice is at the edge of field when reflecting. I personally like the 6000k at night far more than the factory.

Originally I wanted to get some 6500K bulbs, but after some research I found out the 4300K bulbs are brighter. My friend has 6500K in his IS 250 and they look nice but I can't get past them being not as bright. That car does have projectors so I might not be being fair in their comparison. Anyone notice a differance in the brightness in the two bulb types?
