I recently received my built motor. It wont be going in yet, but when it does it will be run in the stock manner.....for now

Things that matter:8.8:1 arias pistonsbored 20 overcrower v3 cams

I know it will probably be a little sluggish. But do you think that it will throw any emissions codes? Run rich or lean? What do you guys think?

If there are any problems SAFC or emanage should be able to fix them correct?

Thanks for the input guys

Any drop in compression will change the emissions. As far as how much, you'd have to take a test. But you are correct, adjusting the AFR's will fix any emissions problems that come from cam's and compression changes.

Assuming nothing else is changed of course.

With stock bore pistons and V2 cams, my emissions went up a little bit.

You can try running cheaper/lower octane gas and messing with the timing to pass emissions, here in Jersey at least.

However, I believe that Crower says V3 cams need ECU tune to fix - so I'd recommend the SAFC or Emange and you'll be set

Thanks guys. Yeah Just as long as I dont get any emissions codes (OBDII) And the required amount of readiness checks.

Since I'm going turbo eventually, do you think I should just get the emanage ultimate? Or grab a cheap SAFC because they are easy to tune.

I seriously doubt you'll throw a code. Get a new O2 sensor, it will help correct any mild over richness.
