Well I just recently finished my swap so I can now drive the car again. However this just isn't enough: I recently stumbled upon a killer deal on an sr longblock which still runs good/has good internals. I was looking for a summer project building an SR longblock to handle around 18psi. My problem is after I buy the motor my budget will be about 1k I'd be able to shovel into upgrades and machine work. I wanna build a reliable/bulletproof SR that can easily handle 18lbs and push about 350-400 hp. How feasable would it be to do this for around 1k and where would I need to start as far as parts are concerned? I know alot of people in the machining business so I'm sure I could get the machine work done relatively cheap. Thnx for your suggestions. -Rob-

Stock SR internals can handle a good 500hp (ish). So keeping the internals stock for the power your looking for would work. And a gt28 would be right at home for the amount of hp your looking for aswell.
