so most of you know ive blown up my CA a few times, I'm doing it right this time, i finally have the funds to get the CA where i want it...We're gonna see what power we can make on a stock CA head.

New things that i have either in my shop, or in the mail on the way to muah....

-AEM meth kit-Bigger FMIC-New 750's-Grex head gasket-4 port head(new seals and guides)-Gold XXR 522, 16x8 +0 (front, 195/50) (rear, 205/50) (stretched and slammed FTW)-Tein Super Drift Dampers.-possibly a 1pc driveshaft-Short throw-HKS Turbo timer (new type 0)-Prosport EGT Gauge-Dyno tune on meth and pump gas.

Projected WHP.. 400-450, and ill be happy, maybe more if i decide to throw more boost at it with more meth.

Suggestions, comments, and other parts you think i should get, are welcome, please dont hold back.

Im now a proud owner of an 88 Pulsar NX SE thats mint, stock, and im the SECOND owner. 114,00 miles. its nice, and kinda rare, it has the yellow graphite 16 valve twin cam door vinyls, Fog light option, and its the 2nd pulsar made in 88!! i lovee it, only one problem, its an auto...but not for long..

good day

If you blow up your CA one more time, I'm going to have competition for "most times grenading a single CA18"

Yeah but Dee was probably not as much of an idiot about it as I have been EVERY TIME.

Oh, whats that? It leans out really hard above 4500rpm because I am way too lazy to get it tuned? No biggie, lets go rip some 2nd gear donuts and bounce it off the limiter for twenty minutes. Now lets do this five times a week.

I would just do it until I was seeing 1900F EGTs and then call it quits. Good times.

I was shocked to learn that tires last more than 6000 miles. Who knew?!?!

This is my strategy, as my favorite part about the CA18 is working on it.

This last time however, my dad would not let me use my money to fix it. I spent it on a ski vacation instead.

Just so you guys know, I drive everything but my S13 like an old woman. I've had old men complain that I drive too slow.

found out why my car keeps blowing up.

need a new gas tank, the plastic baffle(i guess is what its called, never delt with it) that pulls fuel into the center where the fuel pump drops into is messed up, it like concaved in towards eachother on both sides, and it was restricting fuel, i found this out today, because i was at a local shop picking up part, and they were talking about how there shop car blew between 3 and 4 the exact way, and it was because the pump was sucking it dry before it could fill the hole back up with fuel, then having small lean spots that you never saw on the wideband, the replaced the tank, and its been just fine.

by the way, does anyone know what those parts are called? the white plastic thing to the right of the fuel pump the just basically puts fuel into the hole where the pump goes? and does anyone know if its a part i can buy, according to the shop, this happens sometimes to 240's.

thanks

ya, i wanted to hit myself in the face when i found out, i have no idea how long it has been like that, but, i would bet its been like that for a while.

this is the first design i have actually hated by nissan, the baffle, or collector is plastic for one, and it only has 2 clips, if they would have put a third clip in the middle, it would not have caved in...

do you know what that plastic piece is called? is anyone familiar with what im talking about? its basically the fuel pick up for the bucket that the fuel pump sits in.

and has anyone else ever heard of this? if i had the funds, i would just fuel cell the car, but thats not gonna happen.

oh and EDIT: i went with a different wheel choice. Dark Bronze Rota P45R 17x9 +12

You might as well hit up the "whole partouts" section of the classifieds and buy a new tank. Ill bet its cheaper than buying the baffle box from Nissan, and you won't have the pain of installing it in there. Just undo the straps and drop the tank.

ok, but is not the metal baffles its the white plastic peice, do you know what im talking about?

and i plan to buy a new tank, i dont want to get a tank with the same problem..

its the plastic "scoop" if you will, that pulls the fuel from the tank into the "bucket the the pump pulls fuel from..
