Build or buy another ???

need some help please. seens ,timing belt jumped and screwed some valves up. no vac at idel low compression on number 4 cyl. maybe bent valves? do I rebuild engine or buy another? If rebuild any one know a good shop in CT. Thanks

Bruce, get the head repaired. Hopefully it didn't kill any pistons. And whatever caused the timing to jump needs to be corrected. And lastly, I can always provide you with another engine if you chose not to screw with repairs.

Getting it rebuild in stock form should be about the same as buying a "new" used motor.

Get it rebuilt.

and it gives you a chance to add in the goodies while its open for less (if you think of the price of the engine as a loss already, then its a bonus)

an extra grand during rebuild will get you a valve job, hoss valve springs and some forged pistons, so youre ready to make big power later on

Hoss like Rick Ross! I say just get it rebuilt to stock with a few upgrades. It's a better bang for you buck than starting over with another motor that's used. Rebuild FTMFW!
