While chilling at the halfway house I was overcome with boredom, and decided to get my effort on. Opened a large canister of elbow grease and schlepped on down to the local pawn shop. Scored a sweeeet rotary buffer and a small bag of sumpin sumpin.

With the ipod in my pocket, and some whammer ear muffs over the buds (creedence and stevie ray vaughn) I set out to shine the BB. I used Mcguires Paint Cleaner and a fancy schmancy wool fuzz wheel.

I now posses the shiniest Q in the CONUS. Well, maybe not, but I now have a black mirror. SCHWEEEEEEET. Topped it off with some wax and schlocked the tires. Looks darn good for a twelve year old ride!

As a side note (and major pisser) there are TWO guys selling G37 wheels this week on Craigslist. Of course, this is one month after I spring for new tires for my old ugly turbines.

Oh well. I'll save the fundage for the M45.

Pictures or it didn't happen. Email your pics to me and I'll post them if you don't know how.

OK Sportsfans, I snapped a few and shot them to Mike. My PC skills are pretty lame and the whole pic thing gives me a cracked block.

Here's the rub.....

1) I just read Mikes offer at 9pm. So I ran out and took them at night since its supposed to rain here the next two days.

2) We had two nights of heavy dew so I had to give it a quick wipe. The images suck, but if you look closely at the reflections I think you'll get the idea of its vehicular shineitude.

3) I hope they do it justice, as it looks great. All the homies in my hood want me to shine their donks likewise now.

Thanks Mike!

Okay, now get after those wheel wells and clean them up and your be perfect, that is the mark of a great detail job. But Infiniti paint is amazingly good, my 97' is still very shiny too when fresh off the detailing rags.

Very nice... Now the only thing that sucks about this is you'll have to keep the car in a clean room to actually keep it clean.

Thanks gents.

I hate the wheels. They're too small, and a PITA to clean. I want some 18s, with five spokes. Clean and simple. But, they're not in the budget at this time. Plus, I just hung brand new Michelins on it. I saw a 7 series BMW in San Juan with a set and it looked fabulous.
They completely changed the character and age of the car. Maybe someday. As for the wells, hell I never even thought about them. I suppose that I could douche them too.

As for black....I always told myself that I'd never own black, but when its clean and shiny it's the bomb. It looks amazing when polished. The last time I got this many compliments I was driving a 67 Microbus.

It sat for two days before the pics were taken, and I had to go over it with a cloth because of the spots caused by dew. You really need a garage in this part of the planet if you want your car to stay clean. Unfortunately, the house boss (my parole officer) has dibbs on it and the old gal has to slum it by the curb with the crack hos and the gang bangers.

Not bad for an old car!
