Some peckerwood waxed my car to get some acid off of it and he left buff swirls everywhere. Do you guys have any ideas? I usually am an old fashioned religous user of Meguiars Wax/Cleaner, but I am not sure that will work this time.

3m makes a product called swirl mark remover, and its for dark colored cars. I don't know if you have access to a buffer, but you can buy these foam waffle looking pads for a buffer. Anyways, if you buff the car with the swirl mark remover and the foam pad you will loose those marks. This pad does leave fine swirls but they come off with a good wash or wax. We use this all the time at my uncles shop and it works wonders. Hope that helps you - good luck

Griots Garage fine machine polish does a primo job with an orbital buffer and a foam pad. My cousin did my mom a "favor" and Turtle waxed my black Q. I thought all was lost when I got the car, but the polish buffed out every last mark.

911/Q45 is right. Call Griots Garage for the "Griot's Garage Polish and Wax System" kit. The set-up includes a Porter Cable orbiter, foam pads, and polish. Cost is about $230 plus shipping and they guarantee everything for 30 days! If you haven't use one you need to practice to get pressure and motion feel.

Richard Griot is a big time car racer locally here in Tacoma, Washington. You can reach them at 800.345.5789 or griotsgarage.com Ask them and they'll give you advice on how to start this process - from the expert's mouth.

Good luck.
