After waiting forever to get my versa, I was amused to see that Budget Rent a Car rents Versas. I wonder if Budget bought all the S models nobody was interested in buying?

Seen: red versa, with budget logos at the Grey Nuns in Edmonton. Go figure.

That was the theory going around last year when everyone had cars on order and they were magically disappearing from the "system".

That makes sense since Budget here in Panama always had plenty of Nissan Almera's for rent (that would be Sentra in the US). They apparently like Nissan products.

So how big is Edmonton these days? When I lived there in the 80's it was about 750,000 people.

Well, wasn't it Budget that rented Hiro is Versa in Heroes?

And here you go: You have the choice of stuffing your clients in an Aveo, a Caliber, or a Versa. Which do you choose, given that you probably want your clients to come back at some point?

A week before my car came in, 18 weeks in waiting, I saw a dealer about 200 miles away had 2 exactly like mine. I was furious! I should have reeived mine before a dealer had them to sell on the lot. I threatened my dealer to cancel the order and I was going to buy one of the others. Got me some good extras in return to stay.

In the 80s, people left when everything went bust. Now it's booming like crazy. Including the capital region like Sherwood Park, St Albert etc, it's supposed to be a million or so. Of course this doesn't include the people who live in the penalty box in the community league hockey rink, winter camping in the river valley and other choice abodes. And it seems that 2 out of 3 vehicles are either huge SUVs or mega pick-ups with oversized suspension that requires you to use a stepladder to climb into the cab. Of course my midget Versa has nearly been creamed by these monster vehicles. One tried to drive through me in the Ikea parking lot. Maybe I should have got the red one, not the dark blue.

I actually counted big versus little cars in the parking lot the other day, and yes, it's at least 2 to 1 in favour of the monster trucks/suvs.
