My baller fan controller! Lol

Image

Image
this is how I wired it up (stole this from moso on here a while back)
if your going to copy this don't get the fan switch from napa. Mine and mosos switch went bad within a year. I'm running a fan switch from orrielly made by import direct which is basically genuine Honda.
Also I did away with the emergency switch, and ran the power wire that goes through the relay to the fan switch from the 10a fuel pump wire and just grounded the other wire from the switch straight to ground. The way it is in the diagram would make the relay buzz sometimes.

hooked up to my ported throttle body and intake manifold.
It was actually quite a task to get this thing to pass a boost leak test and function properly with my car being maf, inevitably I ended up running this one super tight, and my ssqv on the other side.

trying to solve the infamous catch can filling up problem. This actually works but I will be eliminating the stock catch can to clean things up by running the line straight into the vc with an a/n fitting and stainless line.

Match made in tuner heaven! Fic flow matched 1650cc injectors with aem peak and hold driver (any ecu I will use doesn't support low impedance and didn't want to run resistors, this will make it more drivable anyways)

Looks very good so far! Keep the hits coming. I take it you used urethane bushings for the Z uprights?

Yeah I took the urethane bushings out of my old knuckles and used them in the uprights. The uprights are wider so had to cut them in half but worked just fine. These uprights came from a q45 that had hicas so that had to be pressed out and bushing halves went in no problem.

All looks good to me... But so far I'm not seeing anything remotely "budget". :gapteeth:

Lol I knew that was coming. Most of the other stuff I already had and was going to build the sr with anyways. "Budget" comes to play how I will do the head and head only.
So far in the head swap I'm $80 into it.

I wish I could find a VVL head for a good price, but everyone knows that they can charge big bucks for it...
One of these days I'll do this swap too, always been one of those things I want.

But then again, I'm gonna need a stronger trans and rear end first...

Diff should handle the power. Trans is usually first to go. My trans only lasted 2 months at 25 psi on my gt3071rwg . I could have got another stock trans but with my future goals I found pointless.

My s12 has an r180... its welded, but it still won't take much to break something.
Actually I'm more worried about axles.

I've already popped 3rd gear on my original w71c, now I'm on a lower mile s13 box but its just a matter of time.
