I have a 91 240 hatch and it needs a valve seals so I think im just going to do a complete rebuilt. The problem is im on a tight buget and plan to add a turbo later on. hers what i was thinking maybe pistons out of 98(think i seen these were best from factory), 99 altima rings, new rod &main berings. The haed will cheaked for cracks & warpage and a good valve job. For fuel bigger fuel pump,550 injectors,z32 maf,hks super afr. Hopefully this will get me ready for when i add my turbo, probobly one off of a z31. not planing to boost over 12psi. Any advise or help full hints will be apreciated.

THANK YOU

myth. all dohc pistons are the same.

hmm...even with the safc, you still might run on the rich side with the 550 injectors. personally, i'd wait to install these when your ready to go turbo.

Buget rebuild? Change the rings and hone the bore, and change the bearings in the reciprocating assembly. Thats it. If you want, have your rods shot-peened because you want to boost. That should cost less than 20 bucks a rod. So whats a buget to you? Rember that a shop will charge to pull your motor and tear it down, put it back to gether and drop it back in.That takes time and is expensive! Don't forget all the rubber seals your motor is full of. Your car is 12 years old so I promise you will not want to re-use any of the oil seals or gaskets. Nickel and dime parts that add up fast. Just think realisticly about what needs to be done and how much $$ you have to spend. Taking short cuts will cost you in the long run more than the price of doing things right. ( sounds like the voice of experience ;) )
