Okay, so I'm one of those guys who'd rather spend a good $1500 on performance parts than a really nice paint job.

But, my car is simply unpresentable in its current state. Try explaining to a girl that you'd rather make your car go faster than having it look decent. I'm sure you'd get a :rolleyez response.

So sooner or later, I need to paint my POS-looking fastback. I'm looking to spend only around 500$ for something decent----it doesn't have to be show-quality. Do any of you guys in Southern California have any success (or horror) stories with budget paint jobs e.g. Maaco and Earl Scheib?

Let's hear it!

okthere is an earl schieb in Long Beach/Bellflower.it is on the 91 and lakewood.

my buddy got his car painted there.it looks BAD ***.it was the stage 3 job which is like 500 or something, but they have deals all the time, like 350 for it.

i MIGHT get my car done there if i dont get a super deal somewhere else with a group of friends.

i highly recommend it.
