Alright, before any flaming ensues, I did my searching....read up on what there is to read here, etc.

My question is does anyone have some general ideas for a budget KA-T build, with the intention of getting between 300 and 350 whp? I read where someone did a budget build on a e with parts laying around, but with the intention of trashing it because of his RB swap.

Of course you can go ebay parts and such, but where the big money comes in is such as the turbo and the tune. So, looking for about 300 whp, hopefully with a nice power curve, what turbo would get spooled quickly and give you those numbers? What kind of tune can you use to safely get those numbers without spending 600 to a grand on a tune?

Is it even possible, using a budget turbo build, to get about 300 whp with any kind of reliability? Say, setting a goal of 300 whp, price goal of about $1500 or so, what would some recommendations be?

Oh, project car is a 95 KA24DE.

Probably not in that price range...My budget build is with a T25 off an SR. The wholeeeee kit is runnin me close to 1800. This includes the clutch, motormounts, fuel system, fmic, and Tune from a local shop. I'm hoping for 210-220whp.

It would probably cost an absolute minimum of 3k to get you your goals reliably.

^that also doesn't include getting a lsd to hold the power, or new brakes to slow you down

I'm interested in this too. Whats your setup with the $1800 budget? specifics?
