how hard is it to find a kadet 240sx and what year cars does this engine come in?

Real question:

what would be the best "bang" for my buck on upgrading a completely stock kadet engine with around $5k maybe a little more or less.

also what are kadet engines capable of? how high in rwhp do they tend to max out on with a fully build engine on normal 93 octance pump gas?

sorry i know im new to nico and the entire import scene so just give me a while please

the ka24E/DE never came with a turbo option. the DE-T is an aftermarket add on. As for power output, really depends on alot of things. Read alot and you will find your answers. There have been ka24De-t's with stock internals doing over 400whp though...

Must...... resist......... pwning...... NooB.....

But seriously, the KA24DE-T never came in any car, we merely call it that after we turbo charge the KA24DE (Naturally aspirated production Nissan engine).

Search the forum.

Welcome to Nico. The best advice I can give you is to read through the FAQ in my signature and browse the KA and KAT forums.

anyways..like these guys said ^kade"t" never came stock.

with a $5,000 budget.. you should be able to do ALOT.from a built motor to good ol t3t04e setup with supporting mods.

alright so now i know how bad that sounded but like i said im new to the whole scene cause i used to be into sound systems but not anymore. i have been lookin into the sr20det and maybe even an rb engine but those swaps can be real high if u do them right (replacin belts, pumps, fluids, ect, and having the engine stripped and inspected to make sure everything is straight)

what all is needed to do the turbo add-on/upgrade onto the factory ka engine?

Look at a turbo kit, those are the parts required. Usually you'll also need engine management for fuel and timing.

with all the talk of sr's, rb's, ca's, someone confusing a ka24de(t) as a stock engine was just bound to happen. and i'm sure it's going to happen more frequently
