My buddy bought this car back about two years ago. He had had a SICK S13 before that he did a S13.5 conversion on, and a built SR20 that ran low 12's.

Well he got tired of that and decided to build something truly awesome.

It started out as a completely stock 97 SE, auto, some scuffs and such, but nothing major, and he immediately bought an R33 GTR front clip, and swapped in an RB26, bone stock motor, turbos, etc etc, just Power FC, 1600cc injectors, E85, 4" custom exhaust, and completely tuned on 17 lbs. Ran a best 11.9 at 117mph. Colorado elevation of 5900 ft.

When winter came around 2009, it was time for the car to go under the knife. He had told me all the plans he had for the car, but I never thought itd come to be what it is today. Truly an awesome transformation in my opinion.

He had the car shipped to his dads shop in Texas where it got the following:

Im really not too sure of what some of the parts may be, or the specs, but I can find out from him if anyone is interested.

Custom satin bayside blue paint
Seibon trunk and doors.
Origin Type 2 50mm Fenders
?Origin one off 25mm wider front carbon fenders
Fujimoto rims and Michelin Pilot sport tires, not sure of rim specs, I can find out though.
Everything else Im not too sure of since he just got the car back, and like I said, I can find out for those intersted in rim specs, body parts/kit, etc etc.

The end result...

Why buy all that carbon and paint it though, Ive never liked people that buy a s*** load of carbon, and paint over it, kinda defeats the purpose in my opinion...

Well I would think the purpose of it would be its lightweight and very strong construction.....some people like to show it off just to say "hey i spent a lot of money on CF" also saying "Hey thieves i have a lot of CF"
otherwise its person preference

To OP, your friends car is very nice, got a mod list for it or interior pics for it?

A good friend of mine is doing a photoshoot of his car later this week...so i will post those pics when he gets em uploaded and edited.

ehh, why would you ship the car from Colorado to Texas to have them do everything you can do. The only thing i can understand is the paint job, but that can be done anywhere locally. Overall, im impressed with the car. But it seems like this guy has more money than time into this. kinda defeats the purpose of buying an import.
EDIT: just noticed the lambo doors on the s13, i second my own thoughts

Bride seats my apologies, dunno why I mix that up sometimes.

And reason he ahs it shipped to Texas is because his dads auto body shop is down there and hed rather have them do the work.

The seats are sparco torino 2's in the car. Jeez Kayvan has changed a lot of s*** since I last saw the car. I definitely agree the car needs to be a solid color but overall it looks great. He still owes me a ride!!

I agree. I've never been a fan of unpainted CF unless it's on a black car and even then not when there's this much of it. If the point is to save weight it would be worth the 5lbs that paint would add.

Plus, that paint is really nice and that car would be bad a** all that finish.

children children. Jesus Christ.

Firstly, to JBuckley. You aren't in any right to tell someone what should or shouldn't be done to something you have no control over. Your ignorance can go elsewhere.

And Caveit, lets try not to provoke him. . .Don't take that offensively, btw.

ONTO the topic. I think the car looks great - But I will have to agree. The CF should be painted in my opinion, because the car being one solid blue like that would look great.

Is this a show car? Or daily driven? None the less, good to see some great work went into the "attention to detail" department, even though it was paid for.
