I installed the buddy club Spec II exhaust on my S13 RB25 friday and its not fitting properly. Its sticking about 4" too far past the bumper.

I am using stock down pipe with an intermediate 3" pipe designed for a skyline and a 3" test pipe plus the Spec II exhaust.

I believe either the intermediate pipe is too long or just the Core motor mount kit puts the engine farther back causing the exhaust to shift rearward.

Are the SR20 intermediate / downpipes the same length as the R33?

What can I do to fix it? I was going to cut 4" out of the test pipe (cat-delete) and re-weld it in the center.

This is what i mean when I say intermediate pipe. But the one I have is for an r33 http://www.istoreparts.com/dow....html

Well. . . its alot quieter than an open down pipe ending under the drivers seat. I havent heard it outside the car, but I can finally hear what the engine sounds like(its beautiful ). It took away some of the snappy horsepower around 5k rpms and up. But feels more torquey under 5k rpm.

The exhaust hangers dont line up its only held on by the mounts on the exhaust tip. I had to muscle f*** it to get it to line up to the cat delete right.

the exhaust is a slip fit, is it fully seated one pipe against another?if it is then i dunno whats up, my car it fits perfectly but then again im using the r32 xmember mounting scheme.

Yeah, its more than a slip fit, I put alot of force into lining the pipes up and when I did that it pushed the whole exhaust system from the cat-back toward the rear, the two hangers from the exhaust tip are actually digging into bumper.

I think it has to do with the mounts.

If anyone using the Mckinney mounts or r32 x-member could give me a measurement from the firewall to the back of the turbo (exhaust flange) that would be great (for an s13).
