Hey there all name is Joe and I'm from Espanola NM. been lurking for a while just joined. I have a 83 regular cab dropped 3in in the back and 3.5in in the front just bought a camper shell I am going to paint to match. Scored my 720 for 500 bucks old lady owned it and had it in her garage for the last 5 years because her leg was bad and couldn't use the clutch.

I have been wanting to do a bucket seat conversion scored some seats from a 1st gen eclipse and trial fitted them yesterday no go they were to tall and my head would have been hitting the roof on hard bumps lol. I was wondering if anyone has done this and what seats you have used? I heard somewhere that the seats from a Mazda 626 will fit with no problems? also since I can't find a write up on here for a bucket seat conversion I will do one with pics so that if anyone needs the info it will be there. I did notice that it seams nissan was smart enough to put the bucket seat mounts in the trucks with bench seats so conversion should be a snap!

thanks for your time and FWIW hope to really be a productive part of this forum!

nice did you have to take a lot of foam out to make the seating better or is that just for your preference? There is a couple s13 parts cars around I could prob steal the seats out of.

720s had bucket seats in the ST models. They weren't what I would call performance minded, but they are individual buckets.

Not to grave dig a post, but...

I just so happen to have a set of 94 civic Si hatch black seats with 72,000 miles on them MINTY laying around!

I'm gonna test this rumor tomorrow and post results right away!

IF they fit okay, or at least 3 bolts line up okay, it opens up the chance for Del Sol roadster buckets, Integra type R and GSR leathers, DA integra seats, CRX seats (AWESOME!) EK seats, newer 03' Civic SI hatch seats and RSX seats since they can be used in the 92-95 civics with minor mods and rail swapping! Theres a bucket seated Nissan truck at my closest local scrap yard too, so if I have to get the Nissan mounts, and mod them onto the Honda seats, I'll see if we can do something here. My buddys have FC RX7s, Subarus, 240s, mr2s and starions... So I'm gonna have a field day on seat options if I can.

Look foward to any extra input from you guys. I've had 54 cars, so I know alot of parts... I'll try to post extensive info on EVERYTHING I do, or try to pull off with the 720.

Look for my post on 92-95 Honda Civic seat fitment tomorrow some time.

Not sure but I know of two 720's with B14 seats. Check out my thread on photos at last. I installed a pair of sport seats. They were wider than the original so I made some adjustments. Here's the modifications done to fit them.

The bolt in the middle is the original bolt position.

The one behind the seat is the original bolt position. They are firm and the seat does not rock.
