i went in for a free car wash (perk from the dealership) and i mentioned that my VDC and slip light have been staying on for a day or 2. they took her into the shop and said my brake fluid was low.... AND MY BRAKES AND ROTORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED! my free car wash cost me $504! they said the lights went on because my brake fluid was low. the brake fluid was low because my brakes and rotors were out at only 40k miles. that's really the only bad thing i've heard about the G's. the brakes burn out QUICK! just a little tip from your uncle Chad.

My car is at 40k, same thing happened to me. I think it wouldve cost me a little over 500 though. Stupid question, if I don't get it replaced at the dealership, it won't affect my warranty, will it?
My light didnt come on but they told me i needed it done, I can also hear it.
My dealer was charging $543 for replacing all four pads. I just could not pay that kind of money. I went to a perfomance shop and replaced all four pads with re surfacing the rotors for $250.
As long as you keep your receipts...the warranty is good!!!
guys this problem is an easy fix if u dont have the brembo breaks. go to any autoparts store they should stock ur ceramic break pads and rotors. it only takes about 15mins to install the rotor and break pads. ill see if i can do a write up on it next time i do breaks on the ones with out the brembos. in total u guys will spend about $300.

Exactly right.
Pads tend to be used up a lot sooner - anywhere between 15k to 25k miles is good. And you should be able to go through two ... maybe three ... pad changes before you need new rotors.
This is typical for high-quality, good braking pads and rotors.
