In the just released issue #15, the Behind the Wheel (BTW) article on Joe Ippolito's NASA-winning Sentra is featured on pages 24-25. Here's some footage of Joe running his car at Road Atlanta:

One particular driving tip to take note of. Early in the session, as Joe is still warming up the car, he takes care to drive the correct racing line through the turns he'll soon be attacking at speed. Notice how he hits the apex for many turns and you can even hear the tire "buzz" as it hits the rumble strip. This is good practice for intermediate track drivers to remember: every inch you give up by missing the turn-in or apex points of any single turn is an inch (or more) that you are forced to give up at the exit. Get started by doing it right on the warmup lap and then, keep driving a precise line to build up speed.
