Anyone on here using a BTM along with stock ECU/SAFC2? If so, what is your base timing? Would it be safe to run 17* and use the BTM at around 1* or 1.5*/psi (small turbo makes heat)? Or would I stay at 20* and just go with 1.5ish*/psi?
I would be tuning on the dyno, of course, but just wondering. I have a BTM sitting here and would like to use it. This BTM, btw, is NOT the one that has adjustable parameters for when to begin the timing retard (i.e. beging retarding @ 5psi). It simply starts retarding as soon as boost is present.
Also, anyone using a BTM/SAFC2/Stock ECU to make 300ish whp effectively/efficiently?
Looking for pros/cons here, please.
