I decided to get the BT Foot Well lighting kit and it turned out really good. i have a coupe but i still got the rear kit. everything mounted nice and its plug and play. the switch is also nice. oh yea v-leds were sold out of the size bulbs i needed in red so i went another route for my dome lights so its pretty bright compared to just putting one bulb in lol.

you guys should look into getting the bt kit from racingline. i had a problem sent an email and received a call in like 3 minutes from Bill(maker of the kit) and my problem was solved in no time. heres how it looks at night with all my lights on. ill do just the foot well lights tonight.

BT's kit is def the best hand-made kit i've seen. Every connection, shrink wrap, quick disconnect, wire loom....... everything about it is of the highest quality. "customer service" as well - if there's ANYTHING u don't understand or have quastions about Bill will call u and talk to u for as lonf as needed.

There's 4 colors u can pick out of - white, blue, amber and red. IF u want something else just ask Bill, i'm sure he can customize it for u.

Another thing that wasn't mentioned here is that u can also have dual color kit hooked up to 2 different circuits. Pics of mine below. Amber on with headlights (and anytime on/of with switch if i feel like) and white with doors. Doors open - white leds on, doors close white leds dim to off, just like your eom maplights.

first pics were taken with a cellphone, rest with real camera but all are real s***ty quality LOL

I'm about to order the kit......is the amber color lighting fairly close to amber/orange of our gauges?

It's not 100% match but very close. Our amber has a bit of a red in it while v-leds amber is more yellowish compared to oem.Really not a noticable differance unless u're specifically comparing the 2 and/or a very picky person when it comes to color match like me lol

does anyone have pictures of blue footwell lights? i already have blue door lights and dome+map lights and was thinking to get white footwell lights so my car wouldnt look too blue inside. but after seeing the white light here it looks a bit too bright for my taste.

1 circuit is hooked up to your shifter light (which comes on when your headlights are on). There's also a switch u can use to set it to be on when lights are on, on anytime u feel like, off anytime u feel like.

2nd circuit is hooked to wires in a-pillar. Leds basically imitate your dome lights but work independantly of them. Meaning leds are on everytime dors are open and dim to off everytime doors are closed. How u have your dome lights set doesn't matter, so u can have led strip on (when doors open) and your maplights could be off. U can add a switch to this circuit as well if don't want leds to be on when doors are open but u'll have to email BT about it.

2nd circuit idea is very simple but is kinda hard to explain, hope my explanation made sense to you

My order was shipped yesterday, I got the amber front and rear kit w/switch. But they said nothing about the dual color kit!!!! Vital what you did was EXACTLY what I wanted but didn't want two different kits. I wonder if I can still do this? I didn't want just white cause it would be too bright during driving so I stuck with amber. I suppose I should order a dual color strip now? Is it just one strip with two color led's or are they separate strips?

Thanks

It's not just different strips. It's actually 2 strips for each location and 2 different circuits (which also means different wires which also means more $$$) You COULD add more wiring and strips but it's def easier to contact RL and ask them for a return of your kit and buying a dual kit.

The way 2 strips work is that white is naturally brighter then amber so when both of them are on white outbrights the amber so much u can't even see it. All my strips (white and amber) are 6''. U can clearly see in my pics that 6'' white beats the s*** out of 6'' amber. If u want u get get 12'' white just for the fukk of it lol.

Reason dual kits aren't yet offered on the site is because they were never really meant to be made and sold to begin with. I was offered to be one of the first people to get "regular/single" kit, test it, give feedback on it but i "customized" it to the point where kit had to be completly re-done. Funny thing is that other guy who was "testing" the kit also wanted to customize it to pretty much the same thing as i did. The more we went into it the clearer it became obvious that dual kits should be offered as well. Again, from what i know dual kits will be offered on the site prety soon but u can contact RL with your request and u'll get it.Dual kits can also be done for the rear seats, not just the fronts.I actually do have the whole complete dual front/rear kit, just never got to install the rear seat strips yet.

Thanks for the 411 Vital! I think I'll survive without the white LEDs but like you said you had the kit hooked up to 2 circuits right?? I'd like to do the same with my amber kit, dome light, headlights and the manual on/off switch. The wiring isn't different between the single and dual LED kit right?

Thanks!

U're gonna have to explain this LOL, i have no idea what u just said.I'd like to do the same with my amber kit, dome light, headlights and the manual on/off switch

And wiring on single and dual kits are not the same. Simply put - there's 2 times more wires in dual then single. Again, SIMPLY put.

Haha no worries man, Bill already emailed me back so I'll work out the details with him.

Thanks for your input!

PS - Bill mentioned for you to reiterate that the kit he made for you was fully customized and he is not sure if he will be selling your kit on the website yet. I guess many ppl are asking him about your kit. Just a heads up.
