Hi guys and gals.
I have a 86 720 with the Z 2.4L I already have the 195 deg. stat in the truck and a new radiator hoses etc.
The trouble I am having is that the engine never gets above 165 degrees. I have a mechanical gage in the intake between the thermostat and the block in the place that the oem gage sending unit came out of. It makes little difference summer or winter except its pretty cold in the cab. it keeps the windshield clear but that's about it and the heater hoses at the heater core are not all that hot I mean you can hold your hand on them without much trouble.
Any suggestions on how to get it up to say 180 or so?????
