Yeah, I guess that is why I took such a shine to my Q. I have had 3 Maximas.

I was driving to work this morning, reminising about teh 1992 Maxima SE 5-speed that I used to have. That car was cool!

Hmmmmmm...........................I wonder if the clutch/brake assembly in the older Maximas would fit in the Q?

I had a Pearl White 91 SE 5 Speed myself. Died an untimely death due to a road hazzard on I-26 about a year after I bought her. I was devastated after the wreck... and only the Q could pull me out of my depression

That car had a very nice "growl" under the hood...

The only issues I had with the car was the digital clock who's display would disappear (much like the climate controllers in the Q) and a squeaky rear window in cold weather due to some loosness in the gasket seal at the bottom. That could get kind of annoying since it sounded like I had a styrofoam cooler in the back seat.

Overall it was the most reliable car I have ever owned.

I've noticed over the years that Nissan tends to take one styling idea and pass it down through the whole line... many of the Stanza's, Altimas, etc of the era had a lot of the same styling cues...

I never really noticed until the big Lexington meet. There was a black Max there with wheels almost identical to the ones I had at the time. It was almost a Mini-Me to my Q .

I should try to find the pics.

Yeah it is funny how Nissan passes the styling cues down the line. The thing I notice is that they tend to make the Nissan the FWD and the Infiniti that looks like the Nissan the RWD (Maxima/Q45, '02+ Altima/G35)
