Brother's Car Totaled!

I just got back from the hospital, he's a little sore, but otherwise he's OK. He was turning left off of a four lane road onto out street and got rear-ended. Posted speed limit is 45, but 60 is the norm ecspecially during rush hour. Fortunatly he didn't have anyone(or our dog) in the backseat, because the force with which he was hit, pushed the hatch area into the front seat. With that much of the car occupying the back seat, the car is about 2/3 its original size. His 88 Accord is a total loss, but he has already expressed a shared interest in a 240. Sorry if this post hard to read, I guess I'm still calming down. I had to drive through the scene on the way to the hospital, and it did not look good. I tried to edit it as best I could.

Well its good he's alright. Hopefully he won't get screwed over by the insurance companies.

Hopefully not. Insurance companies have a masterful way of screwing people. I also hope your brother doesn't have to sue the person that hit him to get his settlement if the ins/co screws him. The only people that win in that situation are the damn lawyers. Good luck to your bro and hopefully he can get a nice 240 out of all of this!

Yeah I really hope he can get a fair price for his car, add some of his savings to it, and get a nice platform (240) to work on next summer.
