Brother-in-law in Japan

My brother-in-law is in Japan... just hanging out.

Should I be taking advantage of this situation by looking into buying stuff out there that are much cheaper then here or hard to get?

I have a complete stock Black 91 240sx hatchback.

hit up the used parts shops and get bunches of electronics. old Apex stuff is easy to come by i think.AFCs, etc.

Yeah, semi-rare electronics are light and small and most likely considerably cheaper there. Like older timers/AFCs/EBC's/AIC's, maybe a couple BOV's too. Tell him to hit up a couple local Autbacs and similar places.

(And tell him to keep a look out for any used aftermarket RB cams. )

Make him to to Up Garage and Crystal (used parts stores). They sell stuff for SUPER CHEAP. With any luck Autobacs USA will start selling some of their Crystal inventory over here soon.

Get me some of the super-neat used parts on the Up Garage site too, like the GEAR'S strut bar, Esprit shift knob, and Trial Zelda wheels. Mmmmm.

Whats the rule with shipping/importing this stuff? It seems like its cheaper to buy a ticket to Japan and bring back all the parts you can carry.
