Hello, I noticed a wire connector hanging from my mom's J30 after doing an oil change for her. She has said that she lost power steering a few weeks ago and I know that this wire was connected a month earlier. Can you guys confirm what this wire connector is for? Thanks!

Look at the 2 loose wires hanging shown in picture 3 and 4, they have been pulled out of that plug. Pretty obvious.

... that is the wire I am asking about lol. I am asking if this disconnected wire is related to the power steering or if it is for something else.

He's talking about the wires inside the plastic shroud. Those wires have been pulled out of the wires you are asking about.
It looks like there was once a connector on those wires and it has been cut off or something.

Yes I believe they hook to the steering rack but also believe we have been running with them pulled as well, possibly the idle kick-up for parking lot maneuvering

xxsuperstreetxx can you trace where the connector is exactly from?

I'm thinking it may be part of a engine block heaters wiring. Saskatoon is pretty bitterly cold in the winter! You need the block heater to get going in the AM.
