Broken window

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

After having dinner at a restaurant tonight, I came out to the parking lot and found out the front window of my 2 month old EX35 was broken. :frown: Someone broke into my car and took all my stuff. I was so upset that I couldn't think or do anything for some time. I don't even remember how I got back home.
My question is do I need to replace my window at an Infiniti dealer? I mean does Infiniti makes specfic windows for their cars? Or do any auto glass repair shops use the same window as Infiniti uses? TIA

Sorry for your luck. I hate thieves :(

You can get it replaced where you choose.

Hope you got a police report! Check with your insurance company. AAA does auto glass replacement. Dealer is going to more be expensive than glass replacement shop.

It doesn't really matter where you have the window replaced.
Consider your car is only 2 month old... Taking it back to infiniti dealer will probably be the best since the car is still under warranty and you don't want to give dealership any excuse in the future with problem that is related to the window. Also make sure brand-new OEM parts are used. I am not sure if there is aftermarket window for the EX yet, some shop will use used parts to cut the cost down.
The claim should be filed and covered under comprehensive coverage; most people have $250 ~$500 deductable. I always recommended people I know to drop it to $100 for things like this.
