I got a pair of Z32 5 lug hubs. One of the studs on a hub is broken. Where can I buy a new stud? And what kinda shop would press it in for me?Any idea what I should pay for the stud and getting it pressed in??

oem studs are about $2 a pop.

You can get them from one of our sponsors (namely dantech in advertiser's section). If you want the part #, either ask him, or search through the april or may listings.

I ordered the 60mm nismo studs from him, GREAT price if you ask me, somewhere around 60shipped (which is what other places charge not including shipping yet).

Installing isn't that hard/shouldn't be hard, just do a search for wheel stud or something. Basically you bang it out, and bang one back in. Should be especially easier since it's not installed on your car yet.

any car parts shop should have some. i got mine from carquest. installation -

bang the messed up one out with a hammer

put new stud in, making sure to line up the splines on the stud with the hub.

push it in a little with your hand so that its kindof stuck in there

stack a bunch of washers or bolts or whatever over the stud and put a lug nut on top (the washers and stuff are so you dont bottom out the lug nut, if you have open ended lug nuts and a deep socket you dont need the washers)

slowly tighten down the lug nut and the stud will pull itself through

ta da, all done!

you could also put a wheel between lug nut and hub.

You could, but we are weeeee lil men, hahaha. 10-15 washers weigh less than a wheel and/or rotor .

p.s. And when banging out the stud, you may want to put a spare lug nut or something on the end to make the banging a little easier.

Better off using nuts and washers. It takes alot of torque to pull that stud through all the way, you could definately ruin a nice rim.-Alex
