its easy, just unbolt your caliper, and turn the rotor until you can push it out.

new lug nuts are like 1.50 a piecei think the size for 240's are like 12m1.25 or somethin

anyhow, put the new one in, then put on washers and tighten with a lug nut till its pulled in all the way.

if you got problems with lugs not keeping themselves in the rotor then you can wrap a strip of aluminum from like a pop can or somethin and wrap around the part that goes into the rotor and hammer it in from the back ;]

good luck man

alright, but i read that you have to hammer out the old studs???how hard do i hit it, because i don't want to damage the studs or mess up.

I appreciate the help.

damage the stud? aren't you changing it b/c it's useless? just lube it up with a bunch of wd40 and give it a nice big wack with a hammer. should come out fairly simple. keep going at it if not

Make sure to thread an old lug on it first so you don't mushroom the end of the stud... Then it won't fit through the hole!

Can you do this job without removing the rotor and caliper?

Thanks

well...i already removed the calipers/rotor, it was really easy after that.i just hit the stud out and they got stuck between the rotor and dust shield, but i just bent the dust shield just enough to get the stud out.now im just waiting for my wheel studs to come.

not sure if you can do it with the caliper/rotor on.i would imagine it would be more difficult.

silly boy, you have to take off the caliper and the rotor. no biggy, it's just like 4 bolts for the caliper and the rotor just slides out

im having the same type of issue, i didnt wanna make a thread that has the same title so i hope u dont me using ur for now. ok heres' the deal, i had a about 2 broke wheels studs on both sides of my front. i ordered some extended wheel studs and changed them out. ive been driving on the changed studs for about 2months then early today one of the wheel studs on the passenger side snap while driving on the highway, and another wheel stud also on the passenger side is loose, like i can push and pull it while the wheel is still on. did i not hammer them in hard enuff when i replaced them or could the hole in the hub that holds the stud be out of round and not seat properly, meaning a new wheel hub and studs?

if the stud play you have is only twistable, then something is stripped (Either stud or hub) If the stud play is a push and pull, the the lug nut isn't twisted all the way or the stud isn't all the way in. either way, i think is pretty weird b/c idk how you could even get the lug nut on...

are you running spacers?
