A piece of the wheel lock broke off from the rest of the lugnut that is still on the rear wheel

Metal fatigue but I hope the dealer can remove what is left otherwise the rear wheel cannot come off

Anyone ever experience this?

So you don't think I should just ask for a new 2013?biggie wrote:Yeah probably drill it out and new stud.
Updatejoe603 wrote:Wow...never heard of that on such a new car. I'm sure the dealer would be able to fix it. They may have to drill out the stud.
I found out that wheel locks for a G35 do not work on a G37SImStricken wrote:or someone over-tightened them when installing. i wouldnt be surprised at the morons some of these dealers hire.
yes, the g35 have a 1.25 stud, while the g37 have a 1.50 stud. i hope you didnt screw up the threading on your studs?telcoman wrote:I found out that wheel locks for a G35 do not work on a G37SImStricken wrote:or someone over-tightened them when installing. i wouldnt be surprised at the morons some of these dealers hire.
The G37S wheel bolts are much longer than the ones on a G35 and need different wheel locks

I've had my dealer over tighten a regular lug. I believe it was around 150lbs before it would break free. I was pissed and they had to replace the lug nut.ImStricken wrote:or someone over-tightened them when installing. i wouldnt be surprised at the morons some of these dealers hire.
