Hey Guys, This new website is great now that I have it somewhat figured out. Very well built and planned. Great interactivity.

My problem is the plastic broke around my visor mirror assembly. Right on one of the hinges. I saved the plastic piece and the little hinge rod. Im gonna try to glue it back together. Do I need to remove the visor, or can I remove the mirror assembly, and how do I disconect the wire without cutting it? Or can I replace it without replacing the whole visor $375.

Thanks in advance.

It's available separately (p/n 96406-60U08). Last time I bought one (11/00) it was $57.67List/$43.25Cost at Scottsdale.

The retaining screws are behind the lights. You have to remove the covers and bulbs, then peel back the reflective surface behind the bulbs to get to the screws. I'd probably remove the whole thing just to make it easier to work with. If I remember correctly, the wire plugs in to the back of the mirror.

Thanks Heath,

I called one of the dealers here in SD (escondido), and he told me I had to buy the whole visor, I quickly shot back and informed him that that was not true and provided him the part number (thank you very much). $67, I think I can do better. Its nice knowing what I'm talking about when obviously all lot of these guys do not. Have a great day

I'd just order it from Infinti of Scottsdale or Infinti of Lisle. Should get the best price available, and since we aren't talking about a critical part, the wait isn't a huge factor...

If the visor is $375, I recommend you use duct tape and spend the money doing something to the engine or transmission. In the alternative, you can buy an excellent pair of sunglasses for the $375...and not need the visor.

Both of mine have failed in the past and I clipped the wire to fix. Oh, well, I needed a little electrical tape, but i worked.

Compressing that spring is a real bear.

Good luck!
