so the other day i was at my dads truck yard and i decided to put some air in my tires. in the process i ended up breaking one of the valve stems for the tire. luckily i had a temporary solution for it at my dads yard. so i took the car to the tire shop and i was thinking that all they had to do was just change the stem. and that it couldnt be more than like 10$. well according to the guy there i have to get the valve stem WITH the sensor and it would come out to about 70$. does anyone know if this is true??? or are they trying to rip me off??

Our cars have tire pressure sensors (TPS) at each wheel on the valve stem. Which inform you thru the dash board if your tires are low on air. So they aren't trying to rip you off.

Here's what they look like...

Barrowed the pic from somebody on NICO I think. I just googled it.

hope it helps you out dude.
