Hey guys, like the title says i was doing my thermostat to find the bottom hole had been broken off. With help from my neighbor we decided to try our luck and throw a nut/bolt on the bottom anyhow acting as a clamp. This worked but with the wrong gasket (thanks lordco) it still had a pinhole leak. I put some jb waterweld over the leak and it worked just fine, untill an airpocket made the leak bigger. It pushed half of the black rubber gasket (the ring around the thermostat) out of the housing, and now has a bigger leak out of there.

So now i am trying to decide if the thermostat will open properly if i decide to ghetto fix the leak again, as it will be a complete b**** to do all over. any help is GREATLY appreciated, as im trying to get the car ready for aircare in the next couple days. Thanks ahead guys!

There's simply no need to buy an aftermarket warranty through the dealer. Most dealer warranties are the SAME as you can buy aftermarket (I have owned two, and they were SPECTACULAR), plus you don't pay the dealer markup. They all use one of about 3 underwriting companies, and a warranty is nothing more than an insurance policy.
