I was changing or attempting to change the air condition tensioner and it was jammed. So in tiring to pry it off I damaged to guide for the tensioner.

The actual aluminum guide is broken. I was checking it out an it seems that is a big piece of aluminum. The air condition compressor is attached to it it seems to span pretty far under the car.

I wanted to know if there is anyone that weld aluminum. Right now if I a new tentioner was on the car it would not be stable.

Just to clarify I am not talking about the actual screw or the part that you screw to move the tensioned up and down but the guide for screw that moves the tension screw that moves up and down..

how that clarifies.

On mine the slider is part of the compressor mounting bracket.

It looks like it could be a big problem. I can not tell where the bracket starts and finishes.

I have an extra bracket for 90-93 Q and I think they are the same for 94-96 but could double check tonight.

I have another car that I can take it from but it looks like the alternator is connected to it. I cannot tell how far it goes. Are there places that could weld it? Does anyone know.
