Dont ask me how but i snapped on of the studs off on top of of the towers on my s13 do u think it would be ok for like a week or two just drivin normally till i get it fixed....on a side note how would i fix this lol...i guess it would be ok to drive back and forth to work for a week or so. thanks

I would not drive the car like that at ALL. There is a good possability your strut can compress and unseat itself from the strut tower, which is not only VERY dangerous, but could really destroy some major suspension pieces there. Dont do it.

To fix this you are going to need to replace the "hat" on top of the shock completely. Those are pretty important bolts there, I wouldnt settle for anything less than a complete replacement.

Foster makes a good point . The upper strut mount is reasonably cheap at the dealer. If you dont have experiance with compressing coil springs you should probably have a shop do it for you. It is very dangerous work. If the spring popped out of its compressed state you could get seriously hurt or even killed.

alright thanks for the responses the stud a little thread left and i can thread a smaller nut on there u think that is ok ill i go the dealership?

no i mean like back and forth to work for like 2 days i live about 10 miles there and back from work...on back roads?? im guessin that would be ok...any opinions?

Not actually seeing the amount of stud left or the stability of the mount I cant say weather or not you will last 2 weeks. Not actually looking at it at this point I dont recommend driving it. If it were to come dislodged it would allow that whole portion of the suspension to caster out of control and likely camber and buckle under the car. ultimatly causeing loss of control of the car.
