While installing my new kyb agx shocks and eiback prokit, i broke one of the studs that you screw the nut in at the top, on the front driver side strut mount, the one that broke is the one closest to the engine, i wont be able to replace it untill next saturday as im ordering the part from tirerack, my question is, i have to drive it since its my only way to get to work, will any damage happen, or am i in any potential danger for having only two bolts on???

I mean, im positive the thing isnt going to fly out or anything, but im just worried something might bend, or somthing....

anyways thanks,

R240sx.

Gravity does most of the work. The struts are held in place by the strut mount and the mount is bolted to the sheetmetal. It's very unlikely that you will encounter any problems but keep in mind there is one less bolt holding the pivot point of your steering suspension together. It's critical to have all three at each strut, but like I say, gravity kind of holds your car against the struts.

skylines and other cars use 2 bolts for the front struts, but they are spaced differently. if the stud is broken off all the way, couldnt you just use a bolt and nut? id feel better with that than 2 studs by themselves.

Well, it isnt complety broken, basically i was distracted and gave too much power with the air gun, the nut is still on there, but i can remove it as the stud moves with the nut, i cant take it off at all. im just going to have to drive it untill next saturday before i can repair it, but thanks for the replies!

You should be fine until you get the replacement part. As said before, with the other two nuts/studs OK and the weight of the car on the suspension, you are good to go for now.
