Working on my daughter's 2011 Altima Sedan, with a loud noise from the driver-side, rear suspension. I discovered the subframe is broken. I have never seen this happen before, and I know my old 2003 Honda Odyssey and 2010 Accord are still on the road without issues. Pics below.

Haven't seen anything like that on a gen4 (although Arkansas isn't a salt state, so take my opinion with a grain of baking soda). The break is right next to the area where the LCA bracket welds to the frame, and those are deep tack and flange welds. Looks like it surrendered all at once, so my guess would be the paint gave up (maybe flawed from the factory) and let the rust creep around the circumference until a pothole fractured it.

There really is no excuse for this failure. I have learned that many Nissans have rust issues. Secret warranty? I will be avoiding Nissans in the future.

I attempted to get a crossmember from a local auto salvage yard. Donor vehicle was a 2010. They just called to say when the mechanic removed the crossmember it just "crumbled in his hands." WTH. Nissan JUNK.

I assume you're in a salt state, try a national vendor like LKQ to see if you can get something from outside the Salt Belt.
