Well, I finally stopped being lazy & started to put the correct flanges on my turbo. Anyway, when I took it out, found out that 1 of the bolts were broken off on there - and it's not one of those things I can easy out... seems like some work was done on it that extended beyond just the bolt.

Will this be a problem at all?

The next thing is does this feed flange seem okay to you guys, and anyone know where to get the o-ring for this flange?

Next thing: what discharge flange am I suppose to use w/ this (t3/t4 internal wastegated)

Next: where do I find this clip thingy that hooks the actuator rod to the swing valve?

VERY LASTLY : How am I suppose to adjust the the internal wastegate? just turn the rod? Does fully turned in = lowest setting or highest setting? The rod I have on the wastegate seems like it doesn't want to move - I already broke a rod on another spare wastegate I had & this one the piece that connects to the swing valve itself has cracked - gotta get another one.

Thanks for all the help.

yeah I'd say it's going to cause an issue with the o2 housing/downpipe seating properly and may cause a leak. If you don't feel comfortable drilling out the center of the bolt and trying to get it out with an easy out I'd suggest taking it to a machine shop. 99% of machine shops should be able to get that out for you. While the turbo is off the car I'd get that taken care of before anything else.

IMHO it looks a little big. are you planning on using a restrictor? personally I'd suggest spending the 30-40$ on the oil feed line that Warped listed out. if you want a link to his thread I can dig it up but the oil feed line is a VITAL component and one I wouldn't want to risk taking chances on.

that's a tough one. I'd take it to an auto parts store like Advance Auto parts or O'Reileys. they carry generic hardware and should be able to help you find a clip for that. I know o'Reiley's has a book of misc. hardware and they can special order something at least.

That's all I can help you with, hopefully someone will chime in about your flange and wastegate issues.

I think the rod to swing vavle clip needs a cotter pin. The swing valve outlet needs a flange like this.

That one's sold by CheapTurbo.com for $20

jgsturbo.com sells one that I think would fit your swing valve housing for $17 and they have a template you can use to make sure it fits.http://www.jgstools.com/turbo/index2.html

RoadRace also sells the gasket for the oil drain. They have a DIY section full of gaskets, flanges, and mandrel bends.http://www.roadraceengineering...s.htm

That feed line looks really big because it's not a feed line. It's a drain line. Not sure where you could get an O-ring, maybe a hardware store.

The clip thingy you're referring to for your swing valve can be located at any hardware store (I prefer ACE).

For adjusting the internal wastegate: threading in the turnbuckle, which decreases the rod-length, increases the boost. Unthreading the turnbuckle, which lengthens the rod, decreases boost.

Also, if that's a broken BOLT (as in, it threads in) on your turbo, you can get it out pretty easily yourself. Drill a hole that's smaller than the actual bolt (duh), and then buy a screw-extractor (looks like a drill-bit with reverse threads) from Sears or Home Depot. Should take it out.

Yea, I'm probably gonna end up getting another flange.

I had initially thought it was a drain line too, but if you look carefully (of course you can't because I didn't supply a picture), the an fittin on the other end is a -4 an, which hooks up to my feed line. I have a drain flange w/ a much larger hold & fits my -10 an line. Also, the flange doesn't hook up to the drain side (different bolt spacing) and vice versa. So I figured it had to be a feed line or a drain line that has been converted to a feed line.

Ah, stupid little parts I need to get.

Thanks for the wastegate info. Something really weird, to set it up initially, I will need to turn the turnbuckle (which of course broke as I tried to turn it - gotta get a new wastegate now) a certain amount before it will attach to the swing valve correctly & cover the exhaust hole. Now, I am guessing this will be the lowest boost I can run properly because if I decrease any more, then the swing valve will be partially open & I'm guessing boost will not build. Is it perfectly fine to keep turning the turnbuckle tighter? Will this break the wastegate rod or is that how it's suppose to work (since I've already broken 2 rods - stupid old parts, time for new parts)?
