Because it is a valve thing, it's not as simple as just removing the broken valve and blocking the hole. That will leave you with a permanently high idle. Getting another unit would be the easiest fix for the problem.
If you were in Australia, I'd be happy to help out. If it seems impossible, let me know. I pulled all that off mine, because I'm using Autronic, which doesn't use these valves to control idle.
