I got a 91 240sx HATCHBACK without abs and my efi knock sensor connector crumbled.

So I snipped the connector off and then I snipped the connector off the knock sensor (bought a new knock sensor) and then just connected the 2 wires together. The wire is a shielded wire according to the fsm, but I don't know if that makes a difference. But I still get a code 34 from time to time.

Is there a way to replace a broken connector without having to buy the entire efi harness. Even if I could get the efi harness it would be $$$ and probably impossible to install through the firewall. Also has anybody ever replaced the efi harness?

Thanks

replaceing the harness isnt impossible but it is time consuming, you must be patient. you will have to remove the glovebox, heater core and blower motor. you can also get the harness from a junkyard (good practice removing one) or buy one in the classified section here. also try searching the forums for code 34 fix or something like that.
