Hey guys i'm having a problem!! I have a S13 n I only have (well had!!) one key for the car!! Original one!!! Well one of my stupid friends accidently puts my 240's key in my truck n he twisted n it broke lucky I pulled that piece out!! But I f***ed up for not making a copy well now I need another one (noo s***!!!) I can open the car without the key but anyways my question is!! What do I need to take to the Nissan dealer In order I can get another key? Do I need to take my door handle? The ignition? Or can I take the trunk lock? If anyone had this problem Before plz let me!!!! This is the first time that happens to me!!

try your local lock smith, they shoudl be able to cut you a new one assuming you still have both ends of the key

if all else fails, take your vin number to your local nissan dealer and they will rape you a new one for the key

I broke my only key in my car a few months back and I took my vin number to my local nissan dealership and luckily my key code was still in the comp and they made me a new one for only $10. They said i was rly lucky for it to still be in the comp...So mayb you might have the same type of luck. Depending on how far it is i would give them a call first. Also I have a 96 so that could very well make a big difference.

same thing happened to me good luck mines a 89 and nissan didnt have the key code on comp. You can check your dash there should be a sticker in there with your key car, if not then you can try and have a lock smith make you a new key from your two pieces(i tried this and it didnt work for me). If neither of those work for you then you need a lock smith to come to you and he will make you a new key from your locks.

I had to use the last option it cost me $70 and $3 dollar for addition keys, i made 3 :PThey will come to your house and stick a blank key in your lock, they wil then turn the key back and forth maybe with a little force. This will make your tumblers etch into the blank, he then grinds into the etches, and repeats till the key works. It takes 10 minutes roughly.

if it was the org key and you still have it there should be the key code engraved on it never the head of the key. if not then like the other guy said there should be a sticker in the glove box with the key code. i dont have my car keys with me but its a 4 number code i believe.

i did the same thing a while back ago lol the locksmith wanted like 150$ minimum and Nissan said they cant cut a key because my car is older then 10years so i grabbed my key ring of spare 240sx keys one worked perfect in the ignition then just got some door locks out of the junkyard which still had the key in it for free. But hopefully nissan will cut u one

I am running into this issue now and lock smith said $120

How do you guys do it for 50? heck I don't even have 50!

Can someone take a pic of what the sticker looks like inside the glovbox (blur the actual code) just want to see if I have that sticker and code!

In the glove box it is a 1 by 1 inch white paper sticker oin the box itself it will be facing the front of the car u will not be able to see it when looking into the box u will think it is just some part number. I Lost mine and i took that code to the dealer and they cut me 5 keys not bad for $25 Still dont work the trunk but oh well

i believe the VIN number only works if your car is 95 and up, i tried talking to nissan about my car and they said they can't do anything.
