ouch. Looks like you're in for a new sender unit for the cheapest fix. Check out the buy/sell/trade board, they might have some sender units around or you can call around your local yard. Dealership brand new might be quite the expensive way to go...

I would also check the junkyards, because it's not like if you get a used one it'll just end up breaking anyways. The sending unit really isn't a wear part anyways, how did it break?

well i had a fuel leak which progressed to really bad where fuel would pour off my gas tank so i had to check it out took off the plate that covers the sending unit in the trunk and it was pretty damp with gas around there so i tried pulling off the fuel hoses so i could check for cracks etc before i dropped the gas tank but when trying to remove the fuel line that piece busted off im assuming there was my leak

looks like there was some crazy rust over there. I'd try spraying the area down with the underbody rubber spray stuff to try to keep moisture away when you get a replacement. but I would go looking around for a used part though. It's just cheaper.

i know the unit looks bad but the rest of it is solid i was thinking maybe slipping a piece of brake line in the hole a tiny bit smaller and soldering it on the inside and the outer part but i wasnt sure if solder would bond well or be abile to withstrand the pressure someone told me to use silver solder and others said silver solder will have to heat up to much and burn a hole in it
